Keyboard shortcuts are the secret to working faster in PasteRheo. Here's everything you need to know.
Essential Shortcuts
Opening PasteRheo
- Alt + V (Default) - Open/close the main panel
- You can customize this in Settings → Shortcuts
Navigation
- ← / → - Move between items
- Shift + ← / → - Range selection
- ⌘/Ctrl + Click - Multi-select toggle
- ⌘/Ctrl + A - Select all
- Home / End - Jump to first/last item
- PageUp / PageDown - Scroll by page
- Enter - Paste selected item
- Esc - Close panel
Quick Paste
- ⌘/Ctrl + 1-9 - Instantly paste items 1-9
- No need to open the panel!
Search & Filter
Search
- Click the search box or start typing to filter results instantly
- Use
|to search multiple terms (OR search)
Type Filters
- Click the filter button to filter by text, images, files, and more
- Filter by sub-types like code, colors, links, etc.
Item Actions
Managing Items
- Delete / Backspace - Delete selected item(s)
- ⌘/Ctrl + E - Edit item (text/images)
- ⌘/Ctrl + C - Copy to clipboard
- Space - Toggle preview window
Paste Options
- Enter - Paste with original format
- Shift + Enter - Paste as plain text
- Right-click for more paste options
Advanced Features
Paste Stack
- ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + S - Toggle Paste Stack mode
- When active, copied items are queued
- ⌘/Ctrl + V - Paste items in order (FIFO or LIFO)
Pin Groups
- ⌘/Ctrl + [ / ] - Switch between pin groups
- Right-click items to pin to a group
- Create and manage groups in the panel
Pro Tips
Speed Up Your Workflow
- Use Quick Paste - ⌘/Ctrl + 1-9 is faster than opening the panel
- Master Search - Type a few characters to find anything instantly
- Pin Frequently Used Items - Keep them at the top with pin groups
- Use Paste Stack - Queue up multiple items for sequential pasting
- Multi-select - Use Shift or ⌘/Ctrl + Click to select multiple items
Customize Shortcuts
Go to Settings → Shortcuts to customize global and panel shortcuts to your preference.
